It’s been almost a year since I’ve last posted because I’ve been so busy with school, work and the dreaded job search, but I’m happy to be writing again!
Being a senior is both a blessing and a curse. While I lack any motivation to focus on school, I’ve been making more of an effort to go out into the city and enjoy all my beloved city has to offer. Chicago has always been known as one of the top cities for foodies and this past month, I finally realized what I’ve been missing out by living off of a diet of greek yogurt, granola and paninis.
This past month, my friends and I went to several great restaurants and had some delicious meals. While I was (and still am) obsessed with molecular gastronomy, Moto and avante garde food, I’ve recently become hooked on more homey meals featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients–meals that really fill you up and satisfy both you appetite and your taste buds. Just in the month of February, I (re)discovered my love for:
- Pork Belly
- Braised short ribs
- Beef Carpaccio
